General Nursing & Midwifery course is a Diploma with 3½ year Duration. This course provide in-depth knowledge about theoretical & clinical skills.
The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) nursing is four year degree course. The course intends to provide in-depth theoretical & clinical knowledge in reputed hospitals with latest technology to enable the students to work skillfully. On successful completion of the course, nurse can be placed in Govt. Hospitals, Private Hospitals, and NGO & can undertake further education in nursing like M.Sc. (Nursing) M.Phil & PhD in Specialties & can serve abroad also.
It is a 2 year degree course after GNM .On successful completion of the course one can go for jobs in Govt.Hospitals,Private Hospitals & Education Institutes.
Courses intend to prepare professional nurses, who are committed to the promotion of health, prevention of illness and care & rehabilitation of the sick. It provides breadth and depth of knowledge to enable the nurses to function effectively in varied nursing situations where a nurse may work.
Areas of study include Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology. First Aid, Nutrition, Biochemistry, Psychology, Sociology, Fundamentals of Nursing, Preventive & Social Medicine Community Health Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Medical & Surgical Nursing, Pediatric Nursing etc. English and Computer Education are also taught during the course as an Elective subject.
On successful completion of the course Nurses can be placed in Govt. Hospital, Pvt. Hospital, NGO and they can also go abroad and get salary of 2 to 3 Lakh per Month.
